Iranian Ethnic Attire

A Tapestry of Tradition and Modernity

Naghmeh Kiumarsi presents The Iranian Ethnic Heritage Collection, a showcase of twelve garments that reflect the cultural diversity of Iran. Unveiled at Cannes Fashion Week, the collection brings together the traditions of the Qashqai, Kurdish, Turkmen, Bandari, Mazani, and Gilaki communities with a contemporary design language.

Each piece is built on handwoven fabrics, traditional embroidery, and motifs drawn from Iranian art. The result is a tribute to the history and culture of Iranian women, expressed through clothing that carries both visual elegance and cultural meaning.

With more than two decades of experience, Kiumarsi continues to introduce Iranian culture to international audiences. Her earlier collection, The Garden of Shah Abbas’s Flowers, presented at Milan Fashion Week, merged Safavid art with velvet and Termeh fabrics. The Iranian Ethnic Heritage Collection follows the same direction, reinterpreting traditional attire for a global audience.

This collection is more than a display of garments. It is a celebration of craftsmanship, a record of heritage, and a statement of cultural identity. Through twelve reimagined outfits, Kiumarsi invites viewers to explore the many faces of Iran and to see how tradition can live inside modern fashion.
